A lesson at Bridges, step by step.
Students first understand English through actions, pictures, objects, stories and teacher modelling. They begin speaking when they are ready and then use the language in games and real communication.

- 02The teacher models the language; students respond with movement and gesture first.
- 03They repeat useful words and phrases out loud once they are ready.
- 04Younger students: actions, pictures, objects, rhythm, movement and stories.
- 05Older students: opinions, role-play, interviews, real-life situations and conversation tasks.
- 06The language is then used in games and real communication.

Lessons run in English — you don't need Hebrew to teach with Bridges.
Education and English level
A recognised academic degree is required. Applicants must have fluent or near-native English. Teaching experience and experience working with children are an advantage.
Roles and placements
Bridges recruits qualified teachers for a range of full-time and part-time roles in schools across the Negev. Placements depend on current programme needs. Details are discussed individually with suitable candidates.
